CompWeave woven fabrics are based on thermoplastic composite UD tapes. A specific weaving machine is used to weave tapes in both warp and weft directions and create several fabrics such as plain weave, panama weave, 3/1 twill and 2/2 twill. Each tape is manufactured with 2400 tex glass roving. The resulting fabric weighs approx. 1200 gr/sqm thus offering a logical, cost-effective alternative for most commercial thermoplastic composite applications. Why use aerospace specifications for non-aerospace applications?
Polymers available are PP, HDPE, PA and PET; other polymers on request.
CompWeave fabrics can be further processed in compression moulding, double belt press moulding and overmoulding.
